Promoting STEM education and community with the RockIT Into The Future Science Festival

On February 8, 2025, Girls Inc. RockIT Into The Future Science Festival was held at the Girls Inc. of San Antonio Harvey E Najim Campus. Microsoft took part in the event which included over 1,200 participants and featured more than 30 interactive STEM activity booths. These activities included coding workshops, robotics demonstrations, and experiences such as CloudCraft Minecraft and Adafruit Circuit Playground Express hardware programming.

Established in 2004 as a local branch of the national Girls Inc. organization, Girls Inc. of San Antonio has served over 50,000 girls in the past 20 years, offering thousands of hours of life-changing programs that address the unique challenges girls face.

This event went beyond science and technology—it was about fostering a stronger, more inclusive community. Girls Inc. of San Antonio’s mission to empower all girls to be strong, smart, and bold resonates with Microsoft’s dedication to diversity and inclusion.
