Supporting job skills with gener8tor in Arizona

In Arizona, gener8tor and Dysart Community Center provide skill-building to individuals across the state, helping community members reach their full potential. Dysart and gener8tor held a Workforce Innovation and Graduation Celebration in March 2025 for the 70 graduates of the latest gener8tor Skills Accelerator program.
Teaching in-demand career skills
Established in 1962, Dysart Community Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational and developmental opportunities for low-income children, families, and adults. By reducing stressors and increasing access to tools and skills, the center aims to empower families with the resources needed to improve their lives and build self-sufficiency.
Since 2021, Dysart Community Center has worked with gener8tor to increase its reach and assistance through a no-cost, rapid-skilling virtual program. Supported by Microsoft funding, the gener8tor Skills Accelerator program provides in-demand, career-ready skills to individuals who are either unemployed or lack sufficient income to reasonably support themselves or their families. Program participants benefit from concierge career coaching and virtual training, gaining the skills needed to get ahead in high-growth industries.
Supporting job seekers, families, and employers
Building on those skills, the accelerator also offers job placement assistance, helping learners secure high-quality employment in diverse, professional workplaces through its employer network. Dysart rounds out the program with services such as childcare, tutoring, a food pantry, and more, ensuring needs are supported in every area of life so participants can learn and grow successfully.
In alignment with Microsoft, the gener8tor Skills Accelerator program focuses on building technical skills for individuals from underrepresented groups such as people of color, women, veterans, and others. It helps them secure project management, data analytics, sales, and customer service roles across a variety of sectors such as technology, insurance, finance, and professional services. The Accelerator also supports local employers in adapting to digital transformation, as the program’s participants are prepared for digitally enabled jobs at these companies.
The ongoing collaboration between Dysart Community Center and gener8tor Skills Accelerator provides Arizonans not only with sustainable careers, but also with the confidence and stability needed to build a better future where they can thrive.
