Høje Taastrup datacenter construction updates

Beginning 28, August thru early October, we will need to temporarily perform work outside of our normal working hours of 7-18 Monday through Saturday. There will be no work performed on Sundays.
We have discussed this change with Høje Tåstrup Municipality, in partnership with our General Contractor. We are committed to keeping you up to date on relevant project changes.

As part of the continued construction of the datacenter project, the Collen ApS team is entering a phase requiring longer work hours.
Beginning mid-June through July, the team will work later than the normal work hours of 7-18 Monday through Saturday. There will be no work on Sundays.
We have discussed this with Høje Tåstrup Municipality and will do our best to minimise disruption.

Our construction team began piling works this week.
This activity will be performed during normal work hours with no piling works occuring during the weekend.
The work is estimated to be complete in late April.

Project update
As previously shared, construction is underway on a new data center in Tåstrup in partnership with Collen ApS.
The work is permitted by the Høje Tåstrup Municipality and is in compliance with HTK’s: Regulation of February 2020.
Expected work hours
– Monday – Friday at 7-18
– Saturdays at 7-17
– Sundays at 8-14
If construction work falls outside normal working hours of 7-18, we will provide advanced notice. There will be no work on public holidays.
Weekend work is tentatively planned for the period 5 January 2023 to 16 April 2023.
Drone flights
As part of the construction work, the Collen ApS team will begin drone flights over the construction site over the next 18 months. Flights will take place twice a week and will be carried out by a licensed commercial drone pilot, ensuring that all local laws and regulations are observed.
The drone will not be flown over residences or businesses and will remain above and within the construction site and approximately 2.5m away from public roads.
We notified local police of the drone flight plans as well.

After the construction for Microsoft started in Roskilde and Køge, Microsoft will start building its third Danish datacenter in Høje Taastrup.
In December 2020, Microsoft announced its intention to build a data center in Denmark powered by 100% renewable energy, which will give Danish customers faster access to Microsoft’s cloud, world-class security and the ability to store data in the country. The region will include three new data center facilities in East Zealand.
Our general contractor, Collen, started the mobilization and will prepare the construction site, begin excavation work and continue the construction of the data center.
Expected duration:
- Site setup/excavation/earthworks ~4 months
- Construction/layout/commissioning ~ 16.5 months, followed by handover to operation
Together with Collen, we will take all necessary considerations to ensure that the environment and the local community are disturbed as little as possible throughout the construction period.
