Strengthening primary school children’s digital security skills

Microsoft collaborated with Save the Children in Espoo, Kirkkonummi, and Vihti to strengthen primary school children’s digital security skills. The project’s aim is to improve the knowledge and skills that students, teachers, and guardians need to support safety and well-being in the digital environment.

The included organizing workshops on digital security themes for primary school students and teachers. The workshops taught topics such as protecting private information on the internet, identifying scams, and making good passwords. In addition, as part of the project, Save the Children created learning materials for the Huippula service, a digital platform which strengthens children’s digital security skills.

Microsoft strives to be a good neighbor in our datacenter locations. When the construction of the Espoo, Kirkkonummi, and Vihti datacenter areas began, the collaboration with Save the Children was intensified in these municipalities.
