Partnering with The Better Block Foundation in the West Valley of Phoenix, AZ

Better Block and Microsoft collaborated with stakeholders in the city of Avondale, including Mayor Kenn Weise, city council members, local business owners, and volunteers, to create a two-day outdoor community event in early 2022. Volunteers assembled and painted wooden cactus sculptures to bring Avondale’s Western Avenue to life. The event brought out hundreds of people to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, food, seating areas, live music, and various local vendor booths.
