Lévis datacentre project updates

Microsoft will begin construction for the first phase of development of the Lévis datacentre in April 2024. The datacentre construction site is located at 2441 Ave. de la Rotonde, Charny, QC G6X 2M2, Canada

Why datacentres are needed

Datacentres provide the physical infrastructure for the technology we depend on at work and in our personal lives. Whenever you open an app on your phone, join a virtual classroom or meeting, snap and save photos, or play a game with your friends online, you are using a datacentre. Local businesses, government, hospitals, and schools rely on datacentres every day to deliver goods and services to you.

Construction timeline

Datacentre construction began on April 15, 2024, and we are currently preparing the site for construction, demolishing existing structures, grading, and soil remediation. On May 13 we will begin rock excavation using a blasting technique. For more information on blasting, please contact Hardroc Blasting, Inc., by phone at: 418-834-4113 or via Fax: 418-834-0866.

We will keep neighbors informed in advance of construction work.

The general contractor for the project is Pomerleau Construction. Their contact email for this project is:
