Celebrating local impact across the Raszyn district

In May 2026, Microsoft brought together local organizations, educators, libraries, and community leaders in Raszyn to celebrate the first edition of the Microsoft Community Fund for the Warsaw Capital Region.

The event recognized the organizations that have delivered projects to meet the needs of residents across the Pruszków district. It also marked the launch of the second edition of the program.

The Microsoft Community Fund, delivered by ChangeX in partnership with Microsoft, supports local organizations, institutions, and community leaders in creating positive change. The initiative is part of Microsoft’s long-term commitment to supporting the communities where the company builds and operates its datacenter infrastructure.
Over the past year, funded projects have focused on education, digital skills, health and wellbeing, environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and strengthening community connections.

Community projects making a difference

Projects supported during the first edition included:

  • Intergenerational Timeline in Libraries, a series of intergenerational meetings and workshops delivered by libraries across the Pruszków district.
  • Understand. Accept. Support. Disability without Barriers, led by the JASPIS Association, promoting inclusion, education, and social and professional activation for people with disabilities.
  • FIRST LEGO League, bringing STEM-based learning activities to primary schools, kindergartens, and libraries.
  • Strength in Me, a project by Association Szlakiem Tęczy supporting children and adults with disabilities through physiotherapy and psychological support.
  • Seals for Start, a swimming program for children in Raszyn municipality.
  • Natural Cuisine and Ecological Home, an educational initiative led by the Paryżewianki Rural Women’s Association promoting healthy lifestyles and environmentally conscious living.
  • Integrative Garden in Falenty and Falenty Repair Café implemented by Projekt Raszyn Association, creating community spaces and encouraging sustainability and waste reduction.
  • Tasty Garden, where children from kindergarten learn how to grow plants and develop hands-on environmental awareness.
  • The Eco Picnic for the Reserve 2025, organized by SKOF (Społeczny Komitet Ochrony Falent), helps residents better understand and protect the Raszyńskie Ponds Nature Reserve.

“We would like to congratulate all the organizations that implemented projects as part of the first edition of the Microsoft Community Fund. In line with Microsoft’s commitment to local communities, we want our presence in the region to bring real benefits to residents, strengthen social organizations, and help respond to specific needs,” said Piotr Bralski, Microsoft Datacenter Director in Poland.

“Working with Microsoft shows how much of an impact local changemakers can have when they receive the right support, tools, and funding. The first edition of the Microsoft Community Fund for the Warsaw Capital Region demonstrated the creativity and commitment of local organizations and institutions. We are excited to continue growing this collaboration in Poland and supporting initiatives that bring tangible benefits to local communities,” said Niamh McKenna, Co-founder and Head of Impact at ChangeX.

Participants also shared their experiences from delivering projects on the ground.

“Thanks to the project, residents were able not only to use the library’s resources, but also to participate in activities that often would not otherwise have been possible. We organized workshops, meetings, and community activities across all libraries in the Pruszków district,” said Łukasz Załęski, Director of the Pruszków Library.

“We implemented a project dedicated to promoting the acceptance of people with disabilities and supporting their social and professional activation. We were positively surprised by how intuitive the application process was. Even organizations without fundraising experience can take part, and we encourage others to apply for the next edition of the Fund,” said Beata Pawełczyńska, President of the JASPIS Association.
